Fellowship. There are two award opportunities, (1) first award for graduate students at any level in their degree (PhD, MA,
MFA) that meet the criteria below, and (2) second award for graduate students
who have advanced to candidacy for the PhD.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12pt;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><b><font color="#a64d79">First Award:</font> </b>To provide financial assistance to
graduate students so that they may successfully complete their graduate
degrees. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12pt;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><i><b>Criteria and Selection Process</b>:</i> This fund shall
provide student financial aid to support graduate level students in the College
of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. The Dean of the College, or his/her
designate, shall oversee the selection of student recipients based on the
following criteria:</p>

</span></span>Students with financial need. </p>

</span></span>The dollar amount of the student awards shall be
determined by the College. Multiple distributions may be made each year.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0in 0in 8pt;line-height:115%;font-size:12pt;font-family:Aptos,sans-serif"><b><font color="#a64d79">Second Award:</font> </b>This fund shall be used to alleviate
the financial burden on doctoral degree students whose final obstacle to degree
completion is the writing of their dissertation. </p>
