<p>Normally, I would include this in my newsletter next week, but given that this event is happening tomorrow, I wanted to make sure you all saw it.</p>
<p>UAW 4811, in partnership with many organizations across the country, is organizing rallies in response to the administration's attempts to <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.npr.org/sections/shots-health-news/2025/02/26/g-s1-50920/trump-nih-funding-freeze-medical-research">freeze all NSF and NIH grants</a>, <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.science.org/content/article/judge-says-ban-nih-cut-overhead-payments-stands-moment">limit NIH funding for indirect costs by millions of dollars</a>, and <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/26/politics/federal-mass-layoffs-trump-memo/index.html">continue firing federal employees who help award these grants</a>.</p>
