will visit UCR and give a talk as part of our speaker series. Professor Baker works with mass behavior and international political economy and has an extensive list of publications that appear in top journals in the field.</span><span style="background:transparent"> </span><span style="background:transparent">You can access

everyone to attend the talk in person.</span></p>
<p style="line-height:115%;margin-bottom:0.1in;background:transparent"><span style="background:transparent">After the talk, </span><span style="background:transparent">Dr.
Baker</span><span style="background:transparent"> will have lunch
with graduate students at the Stable. This is a fantastic networking
opportunity, and we will cover the expenses for lunch. We are
limiting the attendance to four graduate students to avoid
overcrowding the meeting and ensure that those attending have a
chance to interact with the speaker properly. We will give strong
priority to those who have research interests that overlap with the speaker's. All else being equal, we will also prioritize more advanced
students working on their dissertation research and those currently
on the job market. We will also do our best to rotate so that
everybody has the opportunity to attend one of these events during
the academic year, but we encourage you to sign up even if you have
attended previous ones. </span></p>

also be a happy hour with the speaker open to all members of the
department (faculty and graduate students) at 4 pm. This is another
great opportunity for networking and collegiality, so we also
