--></style></head><body lang="EN-US" link="#0563C1" vlink="#954F72" style="word-wrap:break-word"><div class="WordSection1"><p class="MsoNormal">Dear Faculty and Grad Students,</p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p class="MsoNormal">The Undergraduate Committee is now seeking entries for the <b>Jenkin Outstanding Paper Award.</b></p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p class="MsoNormal">The award is for the author of an exceptional paper submitted to an upper-division Political Science course. Faculty may nominate papers, and students may submit their own “A” papers for consideration. Submissions are due by February 19. Undergraduates receive information about the award – and how to apply -- through emails and social media. </p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p class="MsoNormal"><b>If you know of a strong paper we should consider, please nominate it directly or encourage the student writer to submit it (and let us know). </b></p><p class="MsoNormal"> </p><p class="MsoNormal">In the recent past, we limited eligibility to those with junior standing, because the $500 monetary award, like any other student award, must be processed through financial aid. We would like to open the award up this year to students who will have senior standing in Spring -- as long as we can be sure we can process the award in time to be available and useful to them.
