<a href="https://www.chadhazlett.com/">Chad Hazlett</a>, professor of Political Science at UCLA will be presenting his work on the speakers series on Monday 16, next week.

After the talk, the speaker will have lunch with graduate students at the Barn. This is a fantastic opportunity for networking, and we will cover the expenses for lunch. We are limiting the attendance to four graduate students to avoid overcrowding the meeting and to ensure that those who attend have a chance to interact with the speaker properly. This will be on a first-come-first-serve basis, so please email us if you want to join the lunch meeting with the upcoming speaker. We will also try to rotate, so that everybody has the opportunity to attend one of these events during the academic year, but we encourage you sign up even if you had attended previous ones.

<p>
Networking and talking to scholars from other departments is reason enough to attend, but please add a note to let us know if you also have particular interests to meet because the speaker works on topics that are closely related to your research interests.
</p>

I am attaching the list of talks planned for the academic year. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. We will resend this invitation for each talk, but for now, we are just collecting names for the upcoming one.
