According to UCR’s website you are the current graduate director, and so I was hoping you might be able to easily circulate
along this information regarding two teaching opportunities that may be of interest to advanced graduate students this coming Fall.
<u class=""></u><u class=""></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"> <u class=""></u><u class=""></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">For our Fall 2022 semester (taught fully in-person) beginning M August 29 and running through Th December 8, we still have need for instructors for two sections of Introduction to American Politics. Both meet on the main Redlands campus,
where parking is free and ample. The first meets M/W 10:50am – 12:05pm, and the second will meet M/W 2:40pm-3:55pm. Pay is $4,500 per course. If any advanced UCR graduate students might be interested in teaching either of these courses, please have them
contact me at <a href="mailto:eric_mclaughlin@redlands.edu" target="_blank" class="">eric_mclaughlin@redlands.edu</a> with an expression of interest. I realize that the start of the semester is just weeks away, but we’ve had an adjunct instructor need to pull out and so now find
ourselves in need of quality instructors. We’ve had good experiences with several UCR Ph.D. students in recent years. We would prefer to hire someone with prior experience as instructor of record and some ability to show evidence of teaching excellence.
I am to provide mentorship to any Ph.D. student we hire including, for instance, observing classes in order to write a teaching-centered letter in support of students on the job market.<u class=""></u><u class=""></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u class=""></u> <u class=""></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">Thanks!
