<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The Department is accepting proposals for research support awards of up to $1,500. Students should prepare a 1-to-2 page proposal describing their project, how the funds would be beneficial
to their research, and how the funds would be spent. The funds may be used to pay either for a graduate student’s research stipend or for aspects of research, such as: travel to field sites or archives, purchasing data or other materials, hiring research
assistance, copying, mailing, or other reasonable research expenses. Students should submit their proposal, along with a budget sheet, as well as a timeline for the expenditure of the funds. Funds will be expended and reported per university guidelines.
