[Poscgrad] Summer Session '26 Appointments & Information

Hi Graduate Students,

Summer 2026 appointments have now been finalized. Please refer to the
attached document for your assignment details.

While course assignments are determined by the Political Science
department, all other aspects of Summer Session employment—including
contracts, onboarding, and scheduling—are managed by the Summer Session
office. You will receive your Assignment Letter (contract), onboarding
instructions, and related communications directly from their office.

Based on their published timeline, appointment letters are expected to be
sent as follows:

   - *Associate Instructors:* Early to mid-May
   - *T.A.s:* Mid-May through early July, depending on your assigned
   session

*Summer Session Dates*

   - *Session A (5 weeks):* June 22 – July 25
   - *Session B (5 weeks):* July 27 – August 29

*Important Enrollment Contingency Numbers (Go/No-Go Course Decisions)*

*Course cancellations* are determined based on enrollment numbers as of the
Wednesday before instruction begins.

   - *Lower division courses (0–99):* Minimum of 12 officially enrolled
   students
   - *Upper division courses (100–199):* Minimum of 8 officially enrolled
   students

Summer Session will begin reviewing possible cancellations approximately
four weeks before instruction starts, with final decisions made no later
than the week before instruction begins. Their office will manage any
cancellations and update Banner accordingly.
