Dear Political Science Faculty and PhD Students,

Please join us for the first job talk in the Political Science Department’s
Law and Society search. Professor Yüksel Sezgin will present on *Monday,
April 27 from 11:40 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. in SSC 125.*

If you are unable to attend in person, the talk will also be streamed via
Zoom for your convenience. We will also have it recorded and sent out after
the talk for those of you unable to attend. That said, we strongly
encourage in-person attendance whenever possible. We will be serving lunch
during the talk, so bring your appetite.

Attached please find the job talk based on Professor Sezgin’s forthcoming
book, which will be published this summer by Cambridge University Press.
The attached paper closely reflects his presentation titled “Judging
through Narrative: Muslim Family Laws in Non-Muslim Courts”.
