[Poscgrad] IMPORTANT- Clarification on Signatures for Dissertation Institutional Support Form

Dear POSC Faculty and Graduate Students,

Good Afternoon!

I’m writing to provide clarification for students who are applying for any
Dissertation Improvement Grants.

*Signature for Enrollment and Candidacy Verification (if required):*

This will be signed by your Graduate Student Advisor, Lorena Jaramillo.

*Signature for Administration of Grant: *

This section will be signed by our campus Sponsored Programs Administration
Office (SPA). Please note that before SPA officers can sign the agreement,
an internal Kuali proposal must be submitted. This step ensures that the
institutional review and approval process is completed properly, and that
the proposal complies with both sponsor guidelines and UCR policies.

Students are not permitted to submit Kuali proposals, a faculty mentor or
faculty advisor must be involved in the submission. Please provide the
following information for the CHASS Contract & Grants team:

   - Faculty Mentor or Advisor:
   - Project Title:
   - Project Period:
   - Project Narrative or Application: (*Please note for the project
   narrative, it requires at least 2-3 paragraphs, if you have the proposal
   that can be supported)*
   - Budget:
   - Budget Justification:
   - IRB Approval (Yes/No): *For example, human subjects
   (interviews/surveys)*
   - Copy or link to the solicitation:

The Contract & Grants team requests that all materials be submitted at
least *ten (10) business days* prior to the *SPA deadline*, which falls *two
days prior to the sponsor’s due date*.
