Dear colleagues,

I hope you are doing ok these days and your graduate students as well - at
this difficult time - especially for international students.

I am attaching the call for the *Barricelli Award for Interdisciplinary
Dissertation Research*, which you may have already seen, through your GSAO.
However, I figured I'd reach out to you all myself as well. *The deadline
is April 18*. *No letters of rec*, as we look for the proposal to speak for
itself. Students need to have a fleshed out project and to *be working on
the dissertation*, but it doesn't need to be completed in 25-26 (although
often those best able to articulate their projects do tend to be more
advanced, and we do have repeat applicants who have gotten it beyond the
first try, so do encourage re-applications).

The award will run *around 7K*, so could *support summer research travel or
writing *- *or could be used during an academic quarter*, but not enough to
replace a TAship, etc.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions and students may do
the same (at this email address). And have a good albeit hyper brief spring
break.

Also, please ask students to put "Barricelli application" in the subject
line of their submission
