Hello all,
Professor Bowler has enlisted Rudra and myself to create a centralized
repository for application materials that graduate students have submitted
to various funding opportunities in the past. We have created a Google
folder (HERE
<https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1cnZH-1s6KVR0_LRUTg7C2kTlPC6Q2iu8?usp=drive_link>)
and begun to populate it with our own materials that we have submitted to
various funding opportunities (with mixed success). We have also included
other materials that may benefit graduate students like successful IRB
protocols, etc.
The goal of this project is to crowdsource materials from graduate students
who have applied for funding in the past to serve as a guide to other
graduate students applying for their own funding. This should hopefully
reduce the labor required and increase the chances of success. Whether you
are applying for funding opportunities, jobs, or conferences, when your
colleagues succeed, you succeed by proxy because their success raises the
prestige of our department.
If you are adding materials for a funding opportunity not already in there,
create a new folder and add the materials. Otherwise, you can add your
materials to the existing folders. You can also share the materials with
Rudra or me and we can add them for you. This is completely voluntary and
no one should feel compelled to share their materials.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
--
