The UC National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement<https://freespeechcenter.universityofcalifornia.edu/> is pleased to share that we are now accepting applications for the 2025-2026 VOICE Initiative<https://freespeechcenter.universityofcalifornia.edu/programs-and-resources/voice-initiative/>. We would really appreciate your help in sharing this opportunity widely.



The Valuing Open and Inclusive Conversation and Engagement (VOICE) Initiative provides up to $5,000 in funding to current UC students, staff, administrators and faculty who want to conduct research or coordinate programs and activities that explore the intersection of expression, engagement and democratic learning, and consider what can be done to restore trust in the value of free speech on college campuses and within society at large.



VOICE applications are currently open until Monday June 2, 2025 at 11:59 PM PDT. For inspiration, take a look at the 2024-2025 VOICE Initiative Awardees<https://freespeechcenter.universityofcalifornia.edu/programs-and-resources/2025-voice-recipients/> and their terrific ongoing work.



Attached is a promotional kit with a flyer, draft email and social caption language and promotional graphics included for your ease.
