Politics* with your PhD candidates and recent graduates.
*Position Overview:* The Department of Political Science at California
State Polytechnic University, Pomona, is seeking applications for a
tenure-track Assistant Professor in American Politics. We are particularly
interested in candidates whose work demonstrates a commitment to inclusive
excellence and who can contribute meaningfully to our diverse academic
community. Cal Poly Pomona is a proud Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI)
and an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving
Institution (AANAPISI). We serve an overwhelmingly first-generation student
population and are deeply committed to providing our students with a
hands-on, polytechnic education that is rooted in social justice, equity,
and inclusion.
The successful candidate will primarily teach undergraduate courses in
American Politics, with opportunities to develop new courses that reflect
their scholarly interests, particularly in areas such as gender, identity,
intersectionality, and race and ethnic politics.
