Greeting Professor,

The purpose of this email is to ask for your help in recognizing the best
students in your class for Spring 2023!

My name is Donald Zarate, a graduating political science undergraduate at
UCR and president of UCR's Pi Sigma Alpha chapter, the only *National
Honors Society in Political Science*. As our mission is to promote
scholarship in the field, we aim to launch our *Emerging Scholars Symposium

Spring to highlight outstanding students in the field. To this end, we will
need help selecting *four essays* for this term.* All you need to do is
recommend your Primary Instructor provide the name and email *of the
student you wish to nominate from an *undergraduate lecture*.

Here are the criteria for nominations:

   - Presents original ideas
   - Draws on recognized literature
   - Includes citations and other scholarly sources
   - Contributes to one political science's subfields

*Here is what we need from Primary Instructors: *Pick a graduate student
from a seminar *and *an undergraduate from a lecture, respond to the email
I sent them with the names and emails (and if they wish, their paper), and
wait for the announcement to see if those students were selected for our
symposium!

We will be accepting nominations on a rolling basis, so feel free to send
your nomination whenever possible. Please submit your nomination *as your
grade since it's easy to overlook potential*.
