> The Environmental Studies (ES) Department at Colby College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in environmental policy to begin September 1, 2023. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies, Environmental Policy, or a related interdisciplinary environmental field as well as a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Candidates who are ABD with an expected completion date prior to September 1, 2023 will be considered. Teaching responsibilities will include three courses plus a lab. The candidate will teach a senior research-based capstone course in the fall semester along with two other environmental policy courses in their areas of specialty during the spring semester or January term. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, international environmental policy, the policy dimensions of conservation, food, forest or freshwater resources, energy systems, or environmental justice. The search committee is especially interested in candidates who, through their research, teaching and/or service, will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the campus community.
