Dear POSC Graduate Students,

As most of you already know, I have now taken over as the department's
Director of Graduate Studies (DGS). This is just a friendly reminder to
please direct your inquiries to me from now on (no need to cc Dr. Godrej).
The best way to reach me is via email at mbrookes at ucr.edu.

Please note that although this position is officially known campus-wide as
"Graduate Advisor," my colleagues and I have begun to refer to the role as
"DGS" in order to avoid confusion with the role occupied by our staff
Graduate Student Advisor (Lori Jaramillo).

I want to thank you all in advance for your patience as I am still in the
process of learning the various ins and outs of this particular position.
That said, I very much look forward to serving you in this role. I wish you
well and hope that you all have a strong start to the winter quarter.
