[Poscgrad] Christine Slaughter Graduate Student Meeting, 2/6, 4pm, Jenkins

Dear Graduate Students,

Last Monday, we welcomed Justine Davis to speak. This Monday, we will
host Christine Slaughter (http://www.christinemslaughter.com).
Justine, Christine, and Paul Gutierrez (coming in two weeks) are all
past UC postdocs and we wanted each of them to get a chance to meet
you. As I mentioned last week, meeting with outside speakers can be a
good opportunity to get feedback to questions from a different
institution’s perspective (e.g., the UCR faculty may have
biases/advice that other departments do not share).

So, if you are free, consider stopping by the graduate student meeting
with Christine, at 4pm on Monday in Jenkins Library. And, whether or
not you can make that meeting, consider popping by the happy hour
(Barn) at 5pm to say hello. : )
