One of our lecturers had to take an unexpected leave for fall quarter,
which means we need to pretty quickly find an Associate In to teach POSC
126S. The detailed advertisement is below. Since we have a short time
frame, Nick and I are asking that you send your materials to us by next

*ASSOCIATE-IN POSITION **POSC 126S*
*FALL QUARTER 2023*
The Department of Political Science, University of California, Riverside,
is seeking a one-quarter temporary teaching position: Associate-In for the
2023/2024 academic year.
*Qualifications: *Qualified applicants will have an M.A. or higher degree
and one-year teaching experience at the college level. The salary is
$8118.51* per course for an Associate-In position. The filling of the
position is subject to budgetary approval and enrollment in the course.
Applications are welcome from persons qualified to teach:
*POSC 126S THE POLITICS OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE, FINANCE, AND DEVELOPMENT: *5
Units, Lecture, 3 hours; discussion, 1 hour; term paper, 2 hours; extra
reading, 1 hour. Prerequisite(s): POSC 020 or POSC 020H. Studies the
interaction between international economics and world politics. Focuses on
the evolution of the institutions governing world trade and finance; role
of multinational corporations; Third World debt and development; the
European Union; economic reform in transitional economies; gender;
economics and environment; and role of technology in international
political economy. Credit is awarded for one of the following POSC 126S or
POSC 126.
The position is open to current UCR graduate students only. The successful
candidate must have a master’s degree or equivalent training, and at least
one year of teaching experience.
As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the
University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy.
All Covered Individuals under the policy must provide proof of Full
Vaccination or, if applicable, submit a request for Exception (based on
Medical Exemption, Disability, and/or Religious Objection) or Deferral
