Greetings all,

I hope everyone has had a good summer. For those new to the program, I am
Eric Mackey a 5th year Poli Sci political theory grad student. For the past
year or so we've been running a political theory workshop and I would like
to extend an invitation to anyone who would be interested in attending. The
goal of Theory Workshop is merely to establish a community for theorists
and those interested in theory within the department that is friendly,
safe, and importantly open to all. It is intended to be a place where we
not only discuss theory, meet other theorists in the department across
cohorts, but also to get honest and constructive feedback on the work that
we are doing. So for those of you who are in the political theory subfield,
considering the political theory subfield, merely interested in political
theory, or are in a completely other subfield but would like to present
work on a theory chapter to theorists please feel free to fill out your
availability and/or reach out to me and I'll put you on the email list.

I've enclosed a poll down below so at your leisure please fill out your
availability. I think that our virtual meetings were a success so I think
we should plan to keep meeting virtually every other week. Our first
tentative meeting is to take place next week (the first week of October).
Furthermore, if anyone would like to volunteer to present some work/work in
progress, have a week they'd like to present please feel free to reach
out. I look forward to seeing you all.
