The hiring rank is Assistant Professor. Teaching, an active research and publishing agenda, and departmental and college service are expected. Significant course release is available for newly appointed faculty. We particularly welcome candidates whose research and teaching interests address questions at the nexus of American Politics and Public Policy: Race, Ethnicity, Gender and Politics; Urban Politics; State and Local Politics. The successful candidate should be flexible and able to teach a wide variety of classes, including introductory classes, as part of our undergraduate Political Science program. The successful candidate will have an active research and publishing agenda. The department is open to methodologic approaches. The ability to design and develop experiential learning opportunities, like Moot Court or Mock Trial or Model UN, etc. is a plus.

If a new health plan is selected, the new plan will be effective on the 366th day. Only after the 365th day can the employee participate in any Annual Fall Transfer Period.
