*Dr. **Ajay
Gopinathan*, Professor of Physics at the *University of California, Merced*.
His research applies theoretical and computational approaches to
investigate fundamental biological phenomena, including intracellular
transport, cellular organization, and collective cell migration. He is
a *Fellow
of the American Physical Society* and recipient of a *21st Century Science
Initiative Award* from the James S. McDonnell Foundation.
