Hello,

You are invited to our* Research Talk* on *Wednesday, March 13, 2025, from
10:00–11:00 AM* in the *Physics Reading Room (3035)*.

We are pleased to welcome *Dr. Kelsey Hallinen* from Princeton University,
who will present:

*"Distinct Nanocolony Morphologies Drive Bacterial Responses in Complex
Environments"*

Dr. Hallinen will discuss her research on bacterial nanocolonies and how
their morphologies influence colonization and response to environmental
conditions. By combining microfluidic experiments with computational
modeling, she uncovers mechanisms by which bacteria adapt to fluid flow and
surface interactions.

This is an exciting opportunity to learn about biophysics and microbial
behavior at a fundamental level. We encourage all faculty, students, and
staff to attend and participate in the discussion.

We look forward to seeing you there!
