Dear All,
You are all invited to the next *SCIENCE event* (
https://live-ucr-sciencedei.pantheonsite.io/), aimed to optimize the
communication within the campus and targeted for PIs, students, academics
and staff. Researchers at any stage, professors, staff members and
definitely students are all welcome to join us for both the seminar as well
as the guided debate which will follow just after.
At this time, we are welcoming *Dr. Andrew Larrath-Smith* speaking
about "*Navigating
Thorny Challenges: The Role of the Ombuds in fostering a healthy campus
climate*" on *Wednesday, March 12th, from 5-7pm*in the Reading Room
(PHYS3035) Physics Building.
The talk will be a great opportunity to understand *the role of ombuds
persons within the university while discussing key-concepts like
"safe-space" and "conflict management"*, at the very base of any career
development, at any stage. The highest impact of such an interactive event
sits on the *diverse perspective of the attendees*, who can ask questions,
give feedback, advice, point of view, relying on their unique experience
and personal reception of the talk. As a consequence, we *strongly
encourage the participation of everyone within the CNAS*, including PIs,
professors, researchers, staff, postdocs and students, both graduate and
undergraduate ones.
In order to ensure the best experience, both related to the seminar
invitation as well as the *provided food and drinks*, please, RSVP at the

Michela, Ananya, Pooyan and Lauren
from the POWUR team
