<p class="MsoNormal">It is with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of Jessie Duarte from Physics & Astronomy Department. She has accepted a fully remote Research Admin3/Fund Manager in Post-Award position at the School of Medicine, Moores Cancer
Center at UC San Diego. Her strong C&G skills and dedication to the department will be missed, but we wish her the very best on her new position.

<p class="MsoNormal">I would like to thank her for all her contributions to the Physics & Astronomy Department over the last 2 years. We have enjoyed working with Jessie and appreciate her work commitment and dedication.

<p class="MsoNormal">We do want to remind our department that while the work force is evolving and more full remote opportunities are becoming available this will be a challenge we are up against. It is imperative that we remain flexible with our staff while
we navigate this transition. We will be moving forward with a recruitment and hope to fill the position as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we have reached out to the Dean’s office for assistance and are working on a plan to get us some assistance with
proposal submissions etc. <o:p></o:p></p>
