[Physics-staff] Physics & Astronomy Staff Updates

Dear Faculty and Staff,

I hope you are doing well and having a fantastic summer! I am writing to provide you with some important staffing changes:

Christina Taylor, our administrative coordinator has been promoted to an HR Analyst 2 role in APSU. She will be starting her new job effective Aug 1st, while we are sad to see Christina leave, we want to wish her the very best in her new journey.
Christina will slowly transition into her new role by working 50/50 FTE with Physics & Astronomy/APSU over the next two months (Aug-Sept).  This will allow the department to remain partially supported, while we recruit and train a new person.

Please join me in congratulating Christina and thanking her for her time and dedication to our faculty and to the department for the past 4 years!

Closed Recruitments


  *   C&G 2- Recruitment was successfully completed and Sergio Estevan was promoted within our unit to the C&G 2 position
  *   C&G 1- Recruitment was successfully completed and Abigail Bravo was promoted within our unit to the C&G 1 position

Open recruitments


  *   C&G 3 - Continues to be an open recruitment. We are working with the Dean's Office to fill this position as quickly as possible or to get temporary assistance from other units. However, there are several C&Gs positions open throughout CNAS.
  *   Financial Services 1- Open recruitment  (replacing Abigail)
  *   Academic Coordinator - Open recruitment (replacing Christina)
