[Physics-grads-open] [POWUR] Mental Health Panel ft. CAPS on May 14, 11AM at Reading Room

Hello Everyone,

POWUR is organising a Mental Health Panel on Wednesday, May 14th, 11 AM in
the Physics Reading Room (PHYS 3035).
We will be joined by Dr. Sarah Sawaf from CAPS.
Additionally, our faculty panelists include Prof. Brian Siana and Dr. Marie
Lau from the UCR Astronomy Department. We will also have Dr. Michela Lai,
postdoc at Physics Department and Grad Student Pooyan Goodarzi from the
Physics Department.

Some of the key discussion points in the session will be around taking care
of your mental health during the recent administrative turmoil, dealing
with stress and anxiety as academics in the midst of funding cuts etc.

It is a good opportunity to talk to a clinical practitioner as well as peer
and faculty members and share your fears and concerns. This session will
not be recorded to respect the participants' views and opinions and ensure
safe space conversations. All undergraduate, graduate students, as well as
faculty and postdocs are invited to attend.

Light refreshments will be available for attendees. We hope to see you
there!
