Hi all,

Our next Physics and Astronomy Student Seminar is happening this *Friday*
at *2 PM* in the *Conference Room* (PHYS 3051). This week, Daneng, who
works with Hai-Bo, will be sharing his research on dark matter with us.

*Daneng Yang*, *Post-doctoral Researcher*
Friday, May 17th, 2:00 pm, Conference Room (PHYS 3051)

*A Quick Start for Working with SIDM Halos*

Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce how elastic dark matter
interactions influence the evolution of dark matter halos. Using a simple
yet practical example, I will demonstrate how to derive self-interacting
dark matter (SIDM) predictions for an observed galaxy, incorporating the
effects of baryons and a central black hole. Additionally, the influences
of growth histories and various SIDM models can be conveniently analyzed.
Related scripts will be available through the following link:

Pooyan
