Hi Physics and Astronomy Grads,

We will have our PASS talk *this Wednesday (2/1) at 4 pm*. (Due to Winter
speakers' availability, we switched from Friday to Wednesday at 4 pm.)

Mehrdad Phoroutan Mehr (5th year; PI: Hai-Bo Yu) will tell us how to use
exoplanets to search for dark matter. If you are interested in the marriage
of exoplanets and high-energy theories, please join us!


*Title: Exoplanets, new targets for Dark Matter search.*

*Abstract:* Exoplanets can be new targets to discover Dark Matter.
Exoplanets can capture Dark Matter, and the captured Dark Matter particles
can annihilate and deposit the annihilation energy within them. The
annihilation energy can lead to a change in the Exoplanets' temperature.
