[Physics-faculty] Frontiers of Cosmology Reception and Lecture - Friday, June 7

Dear colleagues,

Based on the success of Barry's "Frontiers of Physics" celebration several
weeks ago, we are aiming to create a quarterly public lecture series that
will be organized by the nascent Center for Experimental Cosmology that
Barry has agreed to lead. We are calling this series the "Frontiers of
Cosmology Lecture." It is envisioned to feature a broad mix of
distinguished invited speakers and local UCR faculty.

The inaugural lecture will be given on Friday, June 7 by our own Laura
Sales, following the undergraduate commencement ceremony and in the same
location (Watkins Hall 1000). There will be a reception starting at 5:00 pm
in the Watkins courtyard, followed by the lecture at 6:00 pm. More details
are in the attached flier.

We hope that you will be able to join us, and guests are welcome. We only
