pleased to announce that Eric Chong has joined Administrative Services and
Strategic Executive Team (ASSET) as the new Director of Academic Personnel
starting Monday, January 26, 2026, reporting to Veronica Ruiz, Assistant Vice
Chancellor and Chief Financial & Administrative Officer.</span></p>

<p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="color:rgb(31,56,100)">Eric
brings extensive experience in academic personnel administration, having worked
in the field since 2017. He began his career at UC Riverside in 2017 and has
supported academic personnel functions across the College of Natural and
Agricultural Sciences (CNAS), the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social
Sciences (CHASS), and the School of Medicine (SOM). Through these roles, Eric
has developed a strong understanding of academic personnel policies, processes,
and campus operations.</span></p>

<p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="color:rgb(31,56,100)">Prior
to joining UCR, Eric worked at Healthcare Scouts in Orlando, Florida, and
United Pacific Industries in Long Beach, California.</span></p>

<p style="margin-right:0in;margin-left:0in;font-size:12pt;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif"><span style="color:rgb(31,56,100)">Born
and raised in Florida, Eric completed his undergraduate studies in Michigan and
graduate studies in Colorado. He and his wife, a Riverside native, now live in
the area. Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with his Great Dane and is
one of five siblings.</span></p>
