*On behalf of the Academic Resource Center:*

I hope this email finds you well. I'll be helping out with the Sophomore
Book Club, and we would love for you to participate!

This Fall, we will be reading Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover. This book
provides an excellent opportunity for our second-year students to explore
their self-identity and identify their values during this critical point in
their college journey.

We’ve added a component to the Book Club to involve our campus partners. We
would be honored to have you or someone in your department join us for one
of our discussion weeks. While it is not necessary to be familiar with the
book, we would like campus partners to join our discussion to provide
students with valuable insight and advice, to share their experiences with
students to learn from, and to help them learn more about the available
resources on campus. During the Fall 2025 quarter, the book club will meet
on Tuesdays from 12pm-1pm at the Academic Resource Center, and lunch will
be provided!

We’d like for you to join our discussion on one of the following dates:

   -

   Tuesday, October 14th 12pm-1pm
   -

   Tuesday, October 28th 12pm-1pm
   -

Wednesday, November 12th 12pm-1pm (due to the Tuesday holiday)
   -

   Tuesday November 25th 12pm-1pm

Please complete this form by Wednesday, October 1st to let us know if you
are interested and able to attend any of these dates: Student Book Club:

The
form allows you to indicate your interest and the dates you are available
to attend, then from your availability we will confirm the date we’ve
selected for you to attend.

Please note, depending on the amount of interest we receive from partners,
we may not be able to allow all partners to attend this quarter; however,
Sophomore Book Club will be a quarterly initiative, and you will also have
the opportunity to join us in winter or spring.

Attached to this email is our flyer, if you have any students who may be
interested in participating as well! We look forward to your participation
and to the enriching discussions that will follow. Thank you for your
continued support and collaboration. Please let me know if you have any
questions.
Best,
Mayfield
