[Orgvpdue] Departure of Macy Ring

Dear DUE Partners,



It is with mixed emotions that I share that Macy Ring, Capital Internships
and Symposium Program Manager, will be leaving her position on May 21,
2025. Macy has been a valued member of the UCR community for 10 years. She
began her career in International Affairs before joining the Center for
Undergraduate Research and Engaged Learning (CUREL) in Fall 2022, where she
has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to student success. In both
roles, Macy worked tirelessly to open doors for students to participate in
high-impact programs. Her guidance and dedication to the Capital
Internships program provided students with robust professional development
opportunities that will have a lasting impact on their careers. Under her
leadership, the Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities Symposium has
continued to grow, with student participation reaching a record 341 this
year. I am especially grateful for Macy’s innovation in developing a Zoom
Hub for this year’s virtual presentations. This thoughtful enhancement
elevated the professionalism of this campus-wide event for the friends and
family who joined from across the country to take part in celebrating our
students’ achievements.

Macy’s passion and dedication to excellence will be greatly missed.  Please
join me in thanking her for her many contributions and wishing her well as
she embarks on her next chapter.
