[Orgvpdue] UCDC Spring 2025 Extended Deadline

Hello and happy new year, colleagues.

Please share this message with your students that I extended my spring 2025 UCDC deadline, but not by much time! The extended deadline is Friday, January 24 by 11:59PM (PST). Students do not have to contact me directly, unless they have questions. They can simply follow these steps (as outlined on my webpage<https://engage.ucr.edu/internship/ucdc#how-to-apply>):

Selection Criteria

Students from all majors are encouraged to apply. Admission will be based on the student's interests, academic standing, narrative evaluations, and GPA. To be eligible for consideration, students must:


  *   Be in junior or senior standing prior to departure (90+ UC quarter units earned prior to departure)
  *   Complete at least two (2) upper-division courses (100-199) in any major/area of concentration. Note: R'Courses, or any course under 4 units, are not acceptable.
  *   Have a minimum 2.75 GPA and a strong academic record, 3.00 GPA or higher preferred
  *   Submit a complete MyUCDC application

Application Materials

Applications must be complete by the deadline (1/24/2025) and include the items below:


  1.  Application<https://my.ucdc.edu/>
  2.  Cover Letter
  3.  Resume
  4.  Unofficial Transcript(s). If you are a transfer student, transcripts from your previous institution must be submitted.
  5.  UCR UCDC Applicant Pre-Assessment Survey (in MyUCDC)

*Incomplete applications will not be evaluated. Letters of recommendation are no longer required as part of the application for UCR students; however, you may still need them for internship applications.
