Dear UE Colleagues,

UCR continues to enhance the security of our accounts as well as internal
systems. Please be aware that ITS will be making changes to the
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) system this coming Monday, February 24,
2025.

If you are using the features impacted, you should have already received
direct communication from ITS. This message is just meant as a reminder as
well as informational to the rest of the ORG.

Key Changes:

   -

Decommissioning of SMS, Phone Call, and MyAccount Passcodes: These
methods will be retired due to security concerns.
   -

No more text messages of passcodes
      -

No more downloadable passcodes from MyAccount

   -

New Authentication Options: You will need to configure at least one of
   the following options:

   -

Verified Push via Duo Mobile App (available at App Store or Google Play
   Store)
   -

      Authenticate via mobile app
      -

Authenticate via Biometric Authentication: Use Face ID or Touch ID on
      a compatible device.

   -

Verified Push via Duo Desktop App: Can be installed on your personal
   computer

   -

Security Key: Self-purchased and compliant with WebAuthn/FIDO2.

   -

Hardware Security Token: Reserved for those with accessibility concerns
   and must be requested.
