Dear DUE Colleagues,
As many of you know, the Inland Empire is experiencing severe wildfire danger, which began over the weekend. The University's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) is currently monitoring the air quality on campus and will coordinate with the Office of Emergency Management to notify groups that may be affected. Please be aware the Air Quality is higher than normal (above 150) for our campus area.
If anyone is having difficulty breathing, walking, or exerting themselves while on campus, please connect with your supervisor. Remote accommodations can be arranged. Additionally, anyone living near or around the wildfire(s), please inform your supervisor. Your safety and the safety of your families is first priority.
*Please note, the Division Retreat will take place Wednesday, Sept. 11; however, we will adhere to both EH&S and the Office of Emergency Management.
I ask that everyone continue to read your emails for the latest campus updates. We will do our best to provide further information.
Stay safe.
Best,
-Louie
