Please circulate this message broadly within your unit to Principal
Investigators, Contract and Grant Analysts and Academic Personnel Analysts.
Vice Provost Bocian has provided a brief update regarding the status of
implementing the Furlough Exchange Program (FEP) at UCR (see below).
Each FEP request that proposes to use sponsored awards will need to be
reviewed by Sponsored Programs Administration (SPA) in the Office of
Research. It is likely that a number of requests will require sponsor prior
approval; therefore, please do not contact any extramural sponsors without
first having completed and submitted a FEP request in accordance with the
soon- to- be released guidelines and without first consulting with the
Contract and Grant Officer <http://or.ucr.edu/home/Staff.aspx?t=3> assigned
to your unit. Please note that all prior-approval requests to sponsors will
require SPA approval and submission of such requests will be coordinated
through SPA.
