The UCR McNair Scholars program is now accepting applications!



The Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program (McNair Scholars Program) at UC Riverside is a TRIO project federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The McNair Scholars program is a two-year program that prepares undergraduate students for doctoral studies by providing mentored research opportunities, graduate school advising & application assistance, and opportunities to present at conferences.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

·         5-week Summer Research program with a $2,800 stipend

ELIGIBILITY

Undergraduates students enrolled at UCR are eligible to apply if they meet the following criteria:

·         Have at least 90 units by the end of Spring 2024 and an expected graduation term of Winter 2025 or later.

·         Have at least a 3.0 GPA

·         Are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

·         Are a low-income & first-generation college student OR are a member of an underrepresented group in graduate education.

·         Have an interest in research and pursuing a Ph.D.
