Hello, all!
The students in the Creating Micro-Operas composition seminar, Timothée
Chalamet, and I cordially invite you to "An Evening of Micro-Operas: A
Workshop Performance" tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. at UCR Arts
<https://ucrarts.ucr.edu/> (in downtown Riverside)!

Over the past nine weeks, these UCR music composition students have worked
hard as lyricists/librettists, composers, and producers of nine brand new
"micro-operas"--short stories told through the voice in any desired
genre/style/aesthetic. Featured micro-operas composer-lyricists are Rafael
Avila, Monstar Cao, Amos Figueroa, Patricia Filio, Samantha Kim, Thibaut
Leconte, Ariana Mares, Malcolm Mullins, and Sonnet Swire.
The micro-operas will be performed by Kirsten Ashley Wiest, soprano; Miriam
Adhanom, mezzo-soprano; Mikaela Elson, mezzo-soprano; Elias Berezin, tenor;
Scott Graff, baritone; and Jonathan Keplinger, pianist. Stage direction is
by Paige Goodwin, Kimberly Guerrero, and Emma Howard; lighting design by
Rene Balingit; audio engineering by Bradley Butterworth; and production
management by Greg Renne. Stick around after the performance for a Q&A with
the composer-lyricists, performers, and production team.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Best,
Dana/Prof. Kauf.
