As you know, one of the degrees the Department of Music offers is the Bachelor of Arts in Music (Music Industry Track). If you would like to enter the Music Industry Track at the start of the 2026-2027 academic year, you are required to submit an informal portfolio. Attached are portfolio instructions. *Music Industry Track portfolios are due by no later than 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 12. * What is the Music Industry Track? It is a specialized curriculum within the Department of Music that prepares students for careers in music production, recording, mixing, composition for stage and studio, marketing, songwriting, commercial music, entrepreneurship, arts administration, and much more. For more information and a list of courses required to complete the track, see p. 517 of the UCR course catalog . Current freshmen and sophomores are encouraged to apply. If you are a current junior or senior and wish to pursue the Music Industry Track, please examine your degree audit and assess how long it would take you to complete the Track.
