*Greetings **UCR Music Students!*

We are excited to welcome you (back) to a new academic year in the UCR
Department of Music! Whether you are just beginning your first year or
returning to continue or finish your degree, this year promises to be full
of inspiring opportunities. From concerts that showcase the talents of our
students and faculty, to brand-new courses designed to expand your
knowledge, to visits from distinguished scholars and artists, there will be
many ways to learn, perform, and grow as students, musicians, and more.

To kick off the year, we invite you to our *Welcome Back Pizza Lunch *next
*Wednesday**, September 24th, 2025, at noon in Arts 157*. This will be a
great chance to connect with fellow students, meet faculty and staff, hear
from your student advisors, and learn more about the events and
opportunities coming your way this year.

We’re looking forward to seeing and hearing all the music you will create,
share, and experience together. Here’s to a year of discovery,
collaboration, and great music-making!
