[Microplantpath_faculty] Fidelity Voluntary Retirement Savings Plans - Update

Dear Department Colleagues,

Please see the information below from the Central HR Benefits Office
regarding an update to the Fidelity Voluntary Retirement Savings Plans.

In the fourth quarter of 2025, UC discontinued the quarterly administrative
services fee for Voluntary Retirement Savings Program accounts with
balances below $300.  Participants do not need to request this waiver or
take any action.



If a participant’s total balance across all Voluntary Retirement Savings
Program accounts exceeds $300 at the end of a future quarter, the
administrative services fee—currently $7.25 per quarter, or $29 per
year—will be deducted for that quarter.  Fee amounts are subject to change.



*What the Fee Covers*

The administrative services fee supports non‑investment plan costs,
including:

   - Recordkeeping for participant accounts
   - Participant communications
   - Financial education and planning tools
   - Internal UC plan support and operations



*Participant Questions*

Participants with questions about accounts or fees should contact Fidelity
Investments at *1‑866‑682‑7787*.  Additional information about the ongoing
fee waiver for small‑balance accounts is available at the myUCretirement.com
