Dr. Jason Prystowsky, MD
Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician
Doctors without Borders - Volunteer for Humanitarian Aid
"When I applied to medical school, I believed I was pursuing a calling to
help people. And I learned that if you want to help people you have to go to
where the need is. And sometimes that does not involve going to Haiti or
Africa, but looking in our own backyard." - Jason Prystowsky MD, MPH,
volunteer physician
Are you interested in a career in medicine?
Want to know what schools are really looking for in a physician?
Have you ever wondered what other careers are available to you in the Health
Fields?
What are the differences between a MD, DO, RN, and PA. and what do these
acronyms mean?
These are just some of the questions Dr. Jason Prystowsky will address in
his presentation this Wednesday, May 18th from 7:00-8:30pm in HUB 302.
Dr. Prystowsky is a physician, trained in Emergency Medicine, who has been
working overseas in Palestine and Sudan to bring humanitarian aid to those
caught in the crossfire of conflict. He is a graduate of UCSB who has
returned to Santa Barbara to teach and practice medicine throughout southern
California. Please join us to hear his insight about choosing a career in
medicine and the health fields, as well as his inspirational stories of
volunteering around the world in poverty-stricken and war-torn countries.
Food and refreshments will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Please arrive early if you would like to grab a bite before the
presentation.
Please mailto:nhi.tran at ucr.edu email to RSVP up to the day of the event.
