UCSF School of Dentistry: Dental Information Day

Are you looking for an exciting, rewarding and challenging career in the

There is a non-refundable fee of $25 USD PER PERSON attending. For example,
if you and 2 parents are attending, you must submit a payment of $75.
Registration fees cover all program materials, lunch, and parking. A limited
number of fee waivers are available for students from low-income

CNAS DEAN'S FELLOW SUMMER UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH INTERNSHIP

Eligible sophomores and juniors in the College of Natural and Agricultural
Sciences (CNAS) are encouraged to apply for a DEAN'S FELLOW SUMMER
UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH INTERNSHIP.  This is a ten-week program that will
begin on June 21, 2010 and run through August 27, 2010.  Students will
conduct research in departments within CNAS (Biochemistry, Biology, Botany &
Plant Sciences, Cell Biology & Neurosciences, Chemistry, Earth Sciences,
Entomology, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Nematology, Physics, Plant
Pathology and Statistics). Students will receive a summer stipend of
$2000.00 each and are expected to work 40 hours a week on their research
projects.    Students will also meet weekly with the Dean and fellow award
recipients to discuss and share their research.  Students are responsible
for finding a faculty member within the College to work with for the term of
this project.  The faculty member will receive $200.00 for research
expenses.

Interested students should complete an application, which includes a 1-3
page research proposal along with a letter of support from the faculty
member they will be working with and a copy of their transcripts (an
official transcript is not required).

MHCP Peer Mentors

GREAT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY FOR 

PRE HEALTH STUDENTS

Have you "figured it out?" 

Are you a pre-med/pre-health student who has a good un-derstanding of what
is required to be a competitive appli-cant? 

Are you willing to share what you've learned-and even what you've
overcome-to be ready to apply to medical, dental, pharmacy or other health
professions schools?

MHCP Peer Mentors work with assigned students with simi-lar health
professions goals, individually and in small groups, and provide information
and support to help each mentee achieve his/her goals.  

We are looking for peer mentors with an interest in any of the health
professions, including medicine (MD and DO), dentistry, pharmacy, physician
assistant, nursing, physical therapy, optometry, veterinary medicine, and
public health.
