Dear All,

We have been notified that beginning tomorrow Friday, March 24th, the existing HVAC systems will be disconnected and the temperatures in the building may fluctuate anytime between 3/24-3/28. Please plan your work accordingly. Here are a few updates/reminders:

  *   The Administrative Team will be working remotely Friday, March 24th  through Tuesday, March 28th due to HVAC work. Our team will be accessible via email, phone and Zoom. We will return on Wed., 3/29/23
  *   No Access to Skye Hall on Tuesday, 3/28 for anyone.
  *   Friday, March 31st- Campus is Closed in Observance of the Cesar Chavez Holiday

Dear UCR Partners,

Please be advised the following activities noted below will occur March 21st - April 7th at Skye Hall.   Activities will happen during construction work hours of 7am to 4pm.  The contractor will access offices, classrooms, restrooms, study rooms, corridors and all open areas & spaces throughout the building performing work that includes wiring, opening/closing dampers, and replacement of existing HVAC units with new HVAC units on the roof.  As we replace the HVAC units, there will be temperature fluctuations that will happen as we disconnect existing units and bring new units online for full service.  All of the rooms on the second and third levels will be specifically effected by these activities.

On Tuesday, March 28th, there are crane service activities scheduled from 7am - 5pm.  The building is required to be unoccupied during this time frame.  No person is allowed inside the building while these activities are in progress.  Expect 2- 15 minute delays at the HUB Access Road while the crane is in operation.  The crane services will lift materials on/off the roof and will happen intermittently throughout the day.  Traffic Control flag persons to direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic via access road and Parking Lot 19 to the HUB, HUB loading dock and other surrounding areas.
