Dear Logarithms,

Our next meetup will be this *Wed (6/12) at 2 PM*, in Bourns A171 or on Zoom
<https://ucr.zoom.us/j/94346366729?pwd=dWkwSVdwcTFoVGlPdnhTdHlpRnV1Zz09> if
you can't make it in person.

This is the last meetup before the summer, and we're going to wrap up the
quarter with a bang💥💥💥 *Vagelis Papalexakis* will present some
cutting-edge work using *Tensor methods (mostly) for content-based
detection of misinformation.*

[*Abstract*: In this talk we are going to discuss a collection of recent
works that leverage tensor methods for the purposes of misinformation
detection from different types of content, including text, images, and
website screenshots. We are also going to discuss important aspects of
misinformation detection such as label scarcity and interpretability of
results.]

We're thrilled to welcome our new members to Logarithms, and it would be
fantastic if you could join us in person. With the summer approaching, it's
a perfect time to *socialize over a cup of coffee* or something after the
meetup.

Incidentally, I'll start gauging *interest in meeting over the summer* in
person on Wed and via a "survey" shortly after.

Cheers,
Emiliano
