[Lilab] NIH report and publications

Hi All,

You may recall that I previously requested a description of your research
progress for inclusion in my annual NIH report. After submission, NIH
inquired why none of the graduate trainees were coauthors on last year's
publications. This indicates that NIH closely monitors whether students
involved in projects are contributing to publications, and merely
describing research progress is not enough.

For those of you finalizing your manuscripts, I hope we can complete and
submit them soon, aiming for final publication before next year's report is
due.

By the way, I realize that we don't have any group photos yet. Let's take a
group photo at MRB right before or after tomorrow's group meeting. If you
know any other student at MRB who might help us take the photo, please let
me know.
