organization, to put together one week of their STEM summer learning labs. These STEM learning labs provide 9-11th graders opportunities to explore a local community topic and how STEM can be used to identify solutions for an issue. They host a learning lab
focused on Advanced Manufacturing, Law Enforcement and Public Safety, and STEM solutions. STEP also hosts other activities such as
</span><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><a href="https://www.stepconference.org/Conference_info.cfm"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">STEPCon</span></a></span><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">,
an annual conference for teachers and students. In 2022, STEP partnered with UCR to host a week centered on

This year we are working together again to host a week focused on the use of <b>

<p style="margin:0in"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Throughout the week, our goal is to provide students the opportunity to interact with a diverse set of people who are addressing these needs from researchers at UC Riverside,
community partners and industries from the Inland Empire. By the end of the week, the students will work in teams to give a presentation with the presentations being an incubator idea pitch that addresses a particular challenge that they learned about during
the week. The top three teams get a small scholarship.</span><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p style="margin:0in"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are looking for 6 additional lab partners who would be able to give short demonstrations to students. The lab group would provide a short 25 minute presentation, 3-4 times
during a 2-3hr window as we have student groups rotate among stations. </span><span style="font-family:"Tahoma",sans-serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
