As a Biological Sciences Associate/Full Professor, the key responsibilities of the individual include maintaining a productive research program and fostering synergy between genetics and genomics teaching and scholarship. In the role of Executive Director, under the Senior Vice Provost of University Interdisciplinary Programs, responsibilities encompass fostering interdisciplinary approaches, supporting graduate student training, developing courses, strengthening community engagement, and collaborating with various units to promote genetics and genomics understanding across NC State. They will oversee academic, administrative, development, partnership, and budgetary affairs for this academy; engage with faculty within this unit and throughout the university; and facilitate problem-oriented interdisciplinary research.
