<p class="MsoNormal">Our 2021 Distinguished Noel T. Keen Lecturer will be Professor Krishna Niyogi, a Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator, a Professor of Plant and Microbial Biology at University of California, Berkeley, and a faculty scientist in
the Molecular Biophysics and Integrated Bioimaging Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The Niyogi lab studies photosynthetic energy conversion and its regulation in algae and plants. <span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><span style="font-size:12.0pt">He
will be giving a talk titled “<b>Understanding and altering photoprotection to improve crop productivity</b>“.</span><br>
<span style="font-size:12.0pt"> </span><br>
<span style="font-size:12.0pt">We hope that this event will expose members of CEPCEB and the broader UCR community to exciting translational plant science research.</span><br>
